Shulga Ilya Maksymovich

(1878 – 1938)

Shulga Ilya Maksymovich – was born on 20th of July, 1878 in Kropivne village, Cherkasy region. He studied at Murashko Kyiv Drawing School, Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Construction, at Petersburg Academy of Arts. Since 1934 he taught at Kyiv Art Institute. Main work: "The Cossacks are gone", "Cossack Intelligence", "The First Tractor in the Village", "The Church in Vinnitsa", "The House in Vinnitsa", "The First Snow", "Winter in the Forest" and others. Artist`s paintings are presented in museum and private collections in Ukraine and abroad. Ilya Maksymovich died in 1938.
