ABOUT THE ARTIST: Bedzir Pavel Yuryevich – was born on January 27, 1926 in Kalina village (now the Transcarpathian region). He graduated from Uzhgorod Art School of Applied Arts (1946). Mentors: A. Erdeli, A. Kotska, F. Manaylo, E. Kontratovich. He worked in the field of easel graphics and painting. The main subject of his creativity was nature. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1968). Laureate of the Bokshay and Erdeli Prizes (1996). Participated in exhibitions: republican since 1957 and foreign in Hungary (1968, 1969, 1989); Slovakia (1972, 1974); Romania (1976). Personal - in Uzhgorod (1994) and Budapest (1995). Most important works include: still life "Flowers" (1956); monotypic "Old willows" (1965); "The Evening" (1967); "Trees" (1967); "After the Rain" (1967); "Portrait of a Woman" (1972); "Echo of the distant past" (1974); "The Lake" (1975); Winter Morning (1996). A series of paintings "The Life of Trees" (1992-1993). He died on July 10, 2002 in Uzhgorod.
