Selsky Roman Yulianovich

(1903 – 1990)

Selsky Roman Yulianovich – was born on 21th of May, 1903, in Sokal city, Lviv region. He studied at Lviv Art - Industrial School and Krakiw Academy of Fine Arts. Mentors: Mehoffer Y., Pankevich Y., Sikhulsky K. Worked in the easel painting industry. Since 1945 he patrisipated in republican exhibitions. Since 1947 he taught at Lviv Institute of applied and decorative arts. Honored Artist of Ukrainian SSR since 1982. National Artist of Ukraine since 1989. Main works: "Landscape" (1939); "The Carpathian Landscape" (1951); "The Valley" (1959); "Belgorod Landscape" (1964) and others. Roman Yulianovich died on 3rd of February, 1990.
