Samoilenko-Odaynik Zoya Oleksandrivna
Samoilenko-Odaynik Zoya Oleksandrivna – was born on 31th of December, 1924 in Kyiv city. Ukrainian artist, painter. She is the author of numerous genre paintings, portraits, landscapes, still lifes. She studied at Taras Shevchenko Art School, Kyiv State Art Institute. Mentors: Grigoriev S., Eleva K., Kostetsky V., Yerzhikovsky S., Shtilman I. Since 1954 participated in art exhibitions. Honored Artist of USSR since 1981. Major works: "Red Poppies" (1957); "Entrance to Kyiv" (1957); "Girls" (1962); "Siryozha" (1962); "Chess" (1965); "Autumn" (1981); "Self-portrait" (1985); "In the Garden" "(1990), etc. The paintings are presented in many museums of Ukraine, Russia and private collections, in the galleries of Great Britain, Japan, Canada, China, Italy, USA. Zoya Oleksandrivna died on 2nd of September, 2002.
