Rapoport Boris Naumovich
Rapoport Boris Naumovich – was born on 27th of October, 1922 in Soroki village in Bessarabia. In 1927, artist`s family moved to Odessa and then to Kyiv. He studied at art school and Kyiv Art Institute. Mentors: Fomin A.I., Trokhimenko K.D., Svetlitsky G.P., Shtilman I.N. Participant of republican, all-Union and foreign art exhibitions. In 1939 Boris Naumovich`s drawings were exhibited at International Art Exhibition in New York, United States. Since 1950 - Member of the Union of Artists of USSR. Personal exhibitions took place in Kyiv, Lviv, Chernivtsi, Beltzi from 1960 to 1980. Main works: "Above the Dnieper River" (1949), "Tarasova Gora" (1961), "Kyiv Chestnuts" (1963), "Spring in the Crimea" (1970), "Indian Summer" (1974), "Carpathians" (1986),"Armenia" (1989), "Spring" (1990), "Winter Day" (1995), "Winter Morning" (1996). Artist`s paintings are exhibited in the National Art Museum of Ukraine, Poltava, Donetsk Art Museum, the National Museum in Lviv and other museums and private collections in Ukraine and abroad. Boris Naumovich died on 14th of February, 2006.
