Miroshnichenko Pavel Petrovich

(1920 – 2006)

Miroshnichenko Pavel Petrovich – was born on June 1, 1920 in the Belovodsk city, Lugansk region. Landscape painter, master of still life. One of the best representatives of the impressionistic tradition in the Crimea. From 1946 to 1951 he studied at the N. S. Samokish Crimean Art School. Teachers: V. Bernadsky, F. Zakharov. Since 1951, the artist lived and worked in Sevastopol. In 1951-1960 he taught at secondary school №30 and shipbuilding technical school in Sevastopol. Since 1952 participated in city, regional, republican, all-union and foreign exhibitions. From 1960 to 1972 he headed the Sevastopol city studio of artists. Since 1965, a member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine. In 1996 he was awarded the title "Honored Artist of Ukraine". Works are in the Sevastopol Art Museum and other museums and private collections in Ukraine, Russia, France, Germany, Japan, USA, Poland and Czech Republic. Five seascapes were purchased for the Museum of Russian Art in Japan. The artist died in 2006.
