Litvinenko Valentin Gavrilovich
Litvinenko Valentin Gavrilovich – was born on 28th of August, 1908 in Kremenchug city (now Poltava region). He studied at Kharkiv Art Institute, studios of Samokish M., Seleznev I. Worked in the field of easel and book graphics, posters, satires, as well as easel painting and sculpture. Since 1944 he participated in republican, all-Union, foreign exhibitions. The first personal exhibition was held in 1955 in Moscow. Since 1958 – Honored artistic figure of the USSR. Since 1960 – National Artist of the USSR. Main works: "Russia does not give up" (1944); "The Jury" (1945); "Hunting lyrics" (1951); "Spring silence" (1959) and others. Artist died in 1979.
