Lesko Mykola Ivanovich
Lesko Mykola Ivanovich – was born in 1907 in Ostashkov city, Russia. Soviet painter, graphic artist. He studied at Smolensk State Art Studio, Higher Art Technical Institute in Moscow. Mentors: Mushketov V.I., Favorsky V.A., Nivinsky I.I., Shterenberg D.P., Pavlinov P.Y. After the end of the Great Patriotic War, he moved to Lviv and began to work at Lviv Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts, where he teaches before retiring. Since 1947 actively participates in city, republican, all-Union and foreign exhibitions. Member of USSR Union of Artists. Honored Artist of the USSR. He is the author of several monographs on the theory of painting. Works are presented in museum and private collections in Ukraine and abroad. The Artist died in 1980.
