Krychevsky Mykola Vasilyovich
Krychevsky Mykola Vasilyovich – was born on 12th of November, 1898, in the Kharkiv city. The son of the outstanding Ukrainian painter V.G. Krychevsky, brother of V.V. Krychevsky and G. Krychevskaya-Linde. He studied at the University of St. Volodimir in Kyiv, as well as in the Art and Industrial School in Paris. Mentor: I. Boksha. Painter, theater artist, graphic artist. He was illustrating books. Since 1934 he took part in exhibitions. The main works: "Still Life with Cacti" (1934), "View of the Seine" (1936), "Gray Paris", "Winter", "The Courtyard in Winter", "Flowers", "Sewing", "Female figure" (1940- 1960s), Venice (1949), Landscape from Venice (1953), Landscape from Paris (1960); The works are stored in the National Art Museum, in art museums in France, in the USA. The artist died on 11th of September, 1961, in Paris.
