Kotska Andriy Andrievich
Kotska Andriy Andrievich - was born on May 23, 1911, in the city of Uzhgorod. Studied at the Uzhgorod public school of drawing (1927 - 1931); at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome (1940 - 1942). Teachers by profession: F. Ferrozzi, A. Erdeli and J. Bokshai. He worked in the field of easel painting. Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1971). He was awarded a medal and a certificate of honor of the Presidium of the Verkhovna Rada of the Ukrainian SSR. Participated in exhibitions: republican (1949), all-Union (1957), foreign (1960). Personal exhibitions: Uzhgorod (1932, 1934), Moscow (together with A. Erdeli and F. Manail; 1965). Major works: Hungry Children (1939); portrait of the commander of the partisan unit VP Rusin, "Gutsulka - a kindergarten teacher" (1949); Verkhovinka (1956); Milkmaid from Verkhovyna (1962); "Hero of the Soviet Union Oleksa Borkanyuk", "On Verkhovyna", "Girls" (1968) and others. Lived and worked in the city of Uzhgorod. He died on January 4, 1987.
