Gruzinsky Peter Nikolayevych
Gruzinsky Peter Nikolayevych - was born on December 19, 1837 in Kursk, Russia. He was a Georgian royal prince from the house of Mukhrani of the Bagrationi dynasty. Peter painted landscapes and genre paintings, and was also known for his paintings of battle scenes from the Caucasus War. He was the son of Prince Nikoloz Gruzinsky and a descendant of the Mukhrani-Gruzinsky branch of the Bagrationi dynasty, that moved to Imperial Russia in the 18th century. Peter Nikolaevich Gruzinsky was the last direct descendant of King Kartli Vakhtang VI's husband and the last of the Gruzinsky line.
