Galaganov Ivan Oleksiyovych

(1915 – 2009)

Galaganov Ivan Oleksiyovych – was born on 17th June, 1915 in Malaya Rybka village, Saratov region. He studied at Penza Art College and Kyiv Art Institute. He worked in the field of easel painting. Master of portrait, landscape and genre paintings. Participated in republican, all-Union and foreign exhibitions. The first personal exhibition was held in 1987 in Donetsk. Member of the USSR Union of Artists. The main works of the artist are "At noon", "Rye", "Donetsk landscape", "Donetsk revolutionary committees" and others. The works of the painter are exhibited in Donetsk Art Museum, in gallery and private collections in Ukraine and abroad. The artist died in 2009.
