Egorov Evgeny Pavlovich

(1917 – 2005)

Egorov Evgeny Pavlovich – was born on 17th of May, 1917 in the Krasny Liman town, Donetsk region. He studied at the Kharkiv Art College and the Kharkiv Art Institute. Mentors: Kokel O.,Shavikin D. He worked in the field of easel and monumental painting, easel graphics. Participated in republican, all-Union and foreign exhibitions. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR from 1958. Personal exhibitions were held in Kharkiv (1957, 1972, 1977, 1987), Kiev (1987), China (1997). The main works: paintings "In the days of great victories" (1949); "Youth" (1952); “portrait of Mironenko V.F“ (1954); a series of drawings "In France" (1961 - 1962); "Triumph of the Motherland"; the coat of arms of Kharkov (1968) and others. The artist died 4th of May, 2005.
