Efimenko Victor Romanovich
Efimenko Victor Romanovich – was born on the 17th of March, 1952, in Donetsk city. He graduated from the N. Samokish Crimean Art School in 1975. Mentors: V. Sobol, M. Morgun. The artist’s works reflect the best traditions of the classics and realistic easel painting. The artist is interesting for its color ratios. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1978. National Artist of Ukraine since 2012. Head of Sumy organization of the Union of Artists of Ukraine from 1987 to 1989. Participated in regional, national, and international exhibitions. Solo exhibitions were held in Kyiv (2001–2004), Sumy (2002), Brussels (2004), Ghent (Belgium, 2002–2003), Kharkiv (2007). Major works: “Patrol” (1977), “Native Land” (1978), “Waiting” (1980), “Still Life with a White Jug” (1981), “Beginning” (1984), “Lilac” (1986; 1990), “During the Break” (1987), “Autumn Still Life” (1992; 1995), “Morning on the Veranda” (1994), “Blue Umbrella” (1995), “In the Meadow” (1999), “Autumn Arbor” (2002), Roses and Apples (2003), Stones (2006), Morning Arbor (2007). Works are kept in the Sumy Art Museum, and Lebedinsky Art Museum (Sumy region). The artist lived and worked in Sumy City. The artist died on the 1st of November, 2017.
