Babak Petro Ivanovich

(1921 – 1973)

Babak Petro Ivanovich – was born on 31st of May 1921 in Mokhnachakh village, Chernihiv region. He studied in Kyiv Art Institute. Mentors: Trokhimenko K., Kostetsky V., Melikhov G. He worked in the easel painting industry. He adhered to the realism in his works. Participated in the Second World War. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. Since 1951 he participated in republican exhibitions. Main works: "In the collective farm calf" (1954), "Spring", "Shepherds" (1957), "For peaceful work" (1960-1961), "Creative Reflections" (1961), "Best Friends" (1963), "Partisan Intelligence" (1964), "We will build a new world" (1967-1968). Petro Ivanovich died on 8th of June, 1973.
