Atsmanchuk Olexandr Pavlovich
Atsmanchuk Olexandr Pavlovich – was born on the 8th of September, 1923 in Odessa. He studied at the Odessa Art College and the I.Yu. Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture. Mentors: M.Avilov, L.Muchnik, M.Sheluto. Worked in the field of easel and monumental painting. Since 1953 he has taken part in republican, all-Union, and foreign exhibitions. Since 1954 he has been a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. Major works: Portrait of N. Kovtun (1946); "Morning" (1947); "Hell" (1954); "Twilight" (1956); "Early Snow"; "The Soldier of the World" (1964 - 1965); "Flight" (I960 - 1967); "Rise" (1971); "The Drummer" (1970-1974). Works are represented in the Museum of the Russian Academy of Arts, St. Petersburg, the Kyiv Museum of Fine Arts, and the National Art Museum of Ukraine, as well as in private collections in Ukraine and abroad. The Artist died on the 7th of October, 1974.
